On Campus Involvement
ICTV
ICTV has been an absolutely great organization to get started with at IC! I work as a Production Assistant on two shows, In Other Words and Unfunded, both of which have given me unique learning experiences in television production. Every week, I have the privilege to work with groups of tremendously talented aspiring filmmakers, further igniting my passion for creating quality content!
THESIS FILMS
While not technically an "organization" on campus, working on Senior thesis films has been a bulk of my campus experience this fall. As a Producer and Assistant Camera, I have had hands-on experience with industry-standard equipment while collaborating and leading with fellow students.
Community Service
SERVICE SATURDAYS
In October, I had the opportunity to attend a Service Saturday at the Friends of the Library Book Sale! As a partner with the Tompkins County Public Library, the annual Spring and Fall book sale helps fund all of the library's programs. At the event, I worked as a "Floater", who interacted and assisted shoppers as they navigated the sale. I also restocked the bookshelves whenever a section was lacking. This Service Saturday allowed me to get off campus and interact with tons of people in the local community!
SLI: Leading by Example and Through Dialogue
"Leading By Example and Through Dialogue," presented by Dr. Susan Salahshor, Director of the Physician Assistant Program, encouraged students to think about self-leadership through a few different lenses: emotional intelligence, mentorship, and accountability. Dr. Salahshor engaged with each student individually, creating plans for how to strengthen our self-leadership skills.
